I visited Dr. Hirshorn at Laurens Family Medical and found her to be extremely helpful. She took the time to really listen to what was going on. I highly recommend her and think she did a great and caring job doing her exam.
Dr. Hirshorn is a sensitive, caring and accomplished Family Physician. Having trained physician for four decades, I recognize talented practitioners and I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Hirshorn as my primary care physician.
Dr. Hirshorn is arrogant and judgmental. My wife was having some serious problems with her anxiety and Dr. Hirshorn had the nerve to point the finger at me. It made things worse and almost ruined our marriage. The one time I met Dr. Hirshorn she was rude to me and treated me like I was some kind of overbearing and controlling husband. Anyone that knows me, knows that I am the complete opposite.
I have never had a great experience with this clinic. To get them to answer the phones is near impossible. And to get them to put in a prior authorization for your medication is about the same. Recently, they have refused to fill my son's medication due to it not showing up on their urine test. My son has taken this medicine everyday for the last several years. When the nurse was told he takes it daily and that the test was ineffective, she basically called my husband a liar, saying my son has not been taking his medicine. How can you refuse to give a patient a needed medication? How about give a blood test as a back up? You bould think a medical professional would think of that!? The staff aren't very friendly either.
